Smile Towing A Chev Sonic.

Big Day today, I pick up my new Winnebago, I also purchased a Chev Sonic 2012, the user manual says it can be towed 4 wheels down.

What do I need to tow this car?
Do I need a breaking system in the car?
If so what hitch and braking system is a good one to get.

Congrats on your new motorhome and toad! Your owner's manual for your car will tell you what is required to tow your specific car. I'm sure your coach is capable of towing the Chevy Sonic.

Yes, you need brakes, if not from a state requirement, from a general safety standpoint. It's a proven fact that coaches towing a car with brakes stop faster than without brakes. Call it physics.

Everyone has their own preferences on towing setups. I like Blue Ox. I tow a Chevy HHR and have it set up with a SMI braking system.

Good luck with your new setup.
