Towing a Chevy Traverse

I have a 2007 Vista30b and I am thinking about purchasing a chevy traverse awd. Probably a two year old or maybe a new one. I believe the curb weight is around 4600 to 4700 lbs. I am concerned about the weight.
Would I be able to tow 4 wheels down with my Vista safely.
At present time I am towing a CRV without any problems.
Thanks for any and all advice.

All I can tell you is check the owners manual , if it says it can be done for that year and model then it's ok if it says no i would not try it . It's cheap to read the manual not to replace the transmission !

According to the Brochure the 2007 Vista 30B has a GCWR of 26,000 lbs and a GVWR of 18,000 lbs and the hitch is rated to pull a MAX 5,000 lb load with a MAX 500 lb tongue weight. A 4,700 lb Traverse with the required braking system on it would be withing the limits as long as you don't load it up with stuff.

300 lbs is not that much wiggle room so if you load extra food, water, supplies in it you might very easily overload the hitch and rear frames extensions of the coach.

Double check the limits listed in the Winnebago build sheet posted on the wall of your coach and located inside the Black Bag that came with the coach from Winnebago to verify.

Thanks for your replies. I have decided to keep the CRV. I was looking for something bigger to carry a cricket sw3 electric cart. But believe it or not, the cricket fits in the crv . So now I have my toad and golf cart.

I think you were light on the Traverse weight anyway. My 2007 Acadia (sister vehicle) is 4900 lbs empty). And it's never really empty.
