Towing a Ford Edge
Anyone out there tow a Ford Edge??? If so, what all is involved ...

Go HERE and click on Tow My Vehicle...fill in the blanks and it will list what that vehicle requires to tow (It does default to Blue Ox equipment, but Roadmaster would work equally well in most cases)

I'm speaking more abt what you do after you have the brackets all installed - what is required to do to the vehicle itself... Pull a fuse; what position for key, etc...

We tow a 2014 Edge FWD all four down, and as per the owners manual start the engine at the beginning of each day and run it for 5 minutes or every 6 hours, cycle the transmission from P to D to R and return to N leaving the key in the accessory positon for towing. No mention of fuse or battery disconnect. For piece of mind I utilize the hot lead through my light power cord connected to the Edge battery due to the Patriot Brake Assist System power requirements.

2008 edge, unplug and turn off all power users- radio fan gps --- Blue Ox system works great. The Edge has been a good toad and is good for four big people when needed.
