Towing a ford flex...

Hi, I tow a 2007 Ford Edge with a Blue Ox connection, works great on my old Class A rig. Ford manual says to start and run the car engine for about 15 minutes before towing each day, that's what I do plus another 15 minutes at every stop before I take off again (not required). If your Ford Manual says it can be towed 'flat' (all wheels on the ground) then it will work just follow their directions completely. By the way my odometer does not add the towed miles to my total mileage, seems most cars do add the extra miles.

My Blue Ox cable only has connections for the running lights, turn signals and brakes, I found out the hard way that it did not do anything to recharge the car battery! I am adding a special wire from my RV battery to my Car battery on my next trip so my RV will keep the car battery charged up. I purchased two 25ft battery charge cables and two ring ends all with quick connections so I can do a proper job of it, if you want further information let me know it will be lengthy...

Cheers,

Mark

Opps, I was assuming you already have the correct towing package attached to your car and the hitch to attach it to your RV, if not that again is another story...

Cheers,

Mark
