Has anyone ever towed an MG Midget 4 wheels down?

I used to tow my MGB behind my truck camper. Used a ReadyBrake system because the Ram 1500 brakes have a tough enough time stopping just the truck. It worked out great. I did not remove the drive shaft. I just made sure all the fluids in the rear end and trans were topped off.
We have since changed to a 5th wheel camper but I still have the MG and tow bar setup in case I ever get another truck camper...

I'm not sure if the positive earth ("ground"-go figure limies) would be a factor but I'd be mindful of it.
I certainly would be doing a double take if I ever saw a midget coming in behind a motorhome. What could be simpler, put the thing in Neutral and it'll free wheel like a roller stake. What's it weigh again something like 2700 pounds, I forgot.

My 1990 Honda CRX SI weighted 1950 pounds and I could hit 100 mph going up most on ramps before the merge point. I wish I still had that pocket rocket. I'd set it up as a toad. Oh, drove it on a 2000 mile trip once with my buddy and had it packed full of fishing gear, food and beer. Got 45 mpg @ 75+ mph.

Driver I think your Midget weighed closer to 1700# than 2700#. I had a Triumph that weighed just under 1600# and may have been heavier than the Midget.

We tow the Japanese equivalent - 99 Mazda Miata - 5 speed - make sure fluids are topped off. Blue Ox Aveenta is great - using Apollo braking system for security - only seats two so anyone visiting us had better bring a car
