Has anyone or is anyone towing a Mini Cooper? I was recently on the Remco site and it listed the Mini as towable with 4 down but then it listed the Mini as tow dolly only. Can anyone clear this up for me? My better half would like to tow her mini instead of my 02 Wrangler.

I've been watching any thread mentioning the Mini as my wife thinks she wants one. I can tell you that many report towing a manual transmission Mini with no problem. My guess is the dolly recommendation is for the automatic?

I've talked with a couple that tow one 4 down and haven't had an issue with it. My wife has a 1960 classic Mini and a 2005 Cooper S. She loves both of them. We're probably going to pull the 05 behind our MH when we finally take a trip that doesn't include the race trailer behind us.

I now tow with a dolly but eventually want to tow four down. Have been looking for a toad that I can put on my dolly until I get the $$$ to purchase the gear for four down towing. From what you all are saying, the mini, with manual transmission may be one that would work. If towing four down, what would be the procedure besides putting in neutral and unlocking the steering wheel?

Abnmarine,
Getting stationed in Hawaii but having to sell your rig! That sounds like a "Good Thing........Bad Thing". Thanks for the reply.
