Towing a Mini Toad

Thinking of buying a Mini Toad, manual transmission of course. Those who have the set up for their Mini's, is there an approximate cost of tow set up for the Mini so that I can have an idea, therefore I don't bust my budget on both car and tow system. Thanks in advance.

A base plate for a Mini Cooper will run $300-$400 dollars. Are you going to install it yourself? You have to remove the front clip, but it's not that big a job if you take your time.

Watch you various local "Used" & "For Sale" sites and you may scoop up a deal. I got the Roadmaster Tow Unit, Brake Buddy and Baseplate for $300.00 Of course I did all the installation and hook ups.

We found a 2006 Saturn Vue with a Blue Ox Base Plate already installed. So we bought it and will make it our Toad. With a 450 Cummins, I am thinking that we will have no problem towing it 4 down. Have located a Blue Ox tow bar so I think we will be ready to tow very soon. Thanks all for the replies and the advice. If anyone wants to chime in on towing a Saturn Vue, I'm listening...
