The best place to start is with your users manual. It will instruct you on what steps you need to do. Some vehicles require pulling a fuse , some have to be in neutral , some have to have key turned to ACC etc. then of course you'll need a tow bar , base plate , light wiring kit , toad supplemental brake system. There have been many threads on this subject. A search will give you all the info you need.

Dingy Guide

This is from the Motorhome Magazine 2012 Dingy Guide for the Honda CRV: Suggest downloading it - lots of infomation about towing.

Run engine at the beginning
of each day, press brake pedal
and move shifter through all
positions, shift into
DRIVE and
hold for 5 seconds, then to

NEUTRAL
and let engine run
for 3 minutes. Repeat at least
every 8 hours thereafter.
When towing for long
periods, remove 7.5-A

accessory radio fuse.

Plus a good quality towbar from Blue Ox, Roadmaster or Demco anda toad brake system of some kind.

Not sure just what sort of suggestions you are looking for.
