Gary, glad to hear that you are set to tow. Congratulations on getting base plate and tow bar free of charge. BLue Ox is in my opinion King of the Hill in bars and base plates. Looking forward to seeing the pics.

Sorry - I forgot all about posting the pics. Will upload to the gallery immediately and they should be available soon.
As for what it looks like, the answer is "like any other Blue Ox base plate". Two slim metal rods (removable) for the tow bar and two rings for the safety cables. Everything else is wiring for lights & my Toad Charge plus the air line for the toad brake.
OK - uploaded two photos to the Gallery - they are in the gbrinck member gallery or search for Acadia. Currently pending approval - should be viewable soon.

Thanks,
This will be my first toad and haven't seen many base plates. I wanted to see how noticeable it'd be when not being pulled and looks like when you pull the pins, it's not really visable. Looks great and thanks again, hopefully these will be available for purchase soon!

GMC recommends pulling a single 10A fuse on the Acadia, to preserve the battery. Otherwise the dash lights are when the key is in the accessory position for towing. The fuse is under the hood and a bit awkward to uncover and pull, so a switch is a good idea. Right now, I am using a Toad Charge unit to keep charging the Acadia's battery as we tow, so I don't bother to pull the fuse. Will probably add a switch some day, though.
