We have been towing a 2013 Edge since we bought it in July of 2013. Have pulled it about 15,000 miles and expect to put another 15K on it this year.

Only problem is the battery will go down if towing more that 5 hours. I think this is caused by the Ready Brake activating the brakes (and rear lights).

I understand that the display goes down after a number of minutes of inactivity but the braking wakes it up again.

The easy fix is to run the engine whenever we stop for a break and carry an heavy duty jump box!!!!!

I had a umbilical with a spare wire but you can add a wire on the outside and attach it with plastic tye wraps, I can't remember if the cord came from Roadmaster or Blue Ox that had the #10 or 12 wire in it.

Craig I don't answer your question on how to run the charg wire without changing your plugins , you could buy a couple of posted on e bay below or go to a auto parts store and get two male and female plugs and tape to your cord. Install the female at the coach and toad. Remember you will also need a good ground.

I have the Roadmaster "InvisiBrake" installed on my 2013 Edge and love it. Works seamless with the coach brake. Easy to set up --- just plug in the coach to towed wiring and it is on and ready.
