towing an Xterra

Hi all, I am considering a 2011 Xterra with stick as a toad but can not find much information. Does the odometer turn while being towed for example. I'd appreciate any comments, experiences. thanks in advance. Cobweb

The odometer doesn't turn, but you need toad a driveshaft disconnect to tow 4-down. There are several variations of driveline in an Xterra and some do not have disconnects available for them. See the Remcotowing.com web site for specifics - or better yet, call them for help on your specific vehicle.

AS a note...not all standard transmissions are towable 4-down. It depends on whether the internal pump is driven by the input shaft or the output shaft.
