According to FMCA towing guide the 2012 F150 4x4 can be flat towed with no speed or distance limits.

I think it would be wise to refer to specific owner's manual to be sure. Also check to see if there are special conditions or procedures.

It depends. If it has auto 4X4 it cannot. If it has manual locking 4X4 it can.

At least that is what is in most info I have found.

Read your manual I believe the answer is yes. For our 2011 we needed a driveline disconnect but my memory says the 2012 had a built in system

Yes it can. 1st year they brought back the ability to tow 4 down. To put the transfer case in neutral, follow guide in owners manual. It is a great toad.
