First is to be sure your towed can even be towed four down or modified to tow.
What do you plan on towing?

Yes - that's already determined. I just need to decide what tow system and braking system now.

Here's a good discussion with some suggestions on systems.

Something I just found out about 4 down towing. Unless you are perfectly straight, you cannot back up, at all. Wow almost Everytime I put fuel in, I have to back up a few feet. I use a acme tow dollie. Would never go 4 down if that's true. Can you back your 4 down rig. Just wanting to see what others say

Tow dollies can be a PIA. Here's what happened to a friend when he was loading his CRV to his dolly to leave Branson:

Tommy, I would recommend the NSA ReadyBrute Elite towbars with built-in ReadyBrake. They are rated at 8000 lbs, very simple and effective, and the lowest cost out there for a complete towing and braking system!

Why do you have to backup when fueling? I flat tow and do not have a need to backup when fueling. This with current diesel or previous gasser.
