More details needed. Year, transmission type, 2 or 4 wheel drive, etc. If it says it can be towed, it would be listed in your owner's manual.

If towable, you'll need to buy a base plate that is made for your truck. You'll need to wire the tail and brake lights, turn signals, to connect to the RV. You'll need to be sure your receiver and RV can tow the weight of the pick up, and you'll need a suitably rated tow bar, safety cables, auxiliary braking system and break-away switch.

All together, about $2,000 to $3,000 if you buy all new and depending on if you install it yourself or pay to have it done.

You can also check Craigslist, Ebay, and other resale sites for things you'll need.

Only 4 x 4 F150's can be towed w/o some aftermarket device, and it can only be towed 4 down. I'm not sure which year they gained that capability, but my 2014 and later models qualify. My setup in in my signature.

Remco has a guide that will tell you what is needed to tow your particular vehicle.

Store : Remco

I flat tow my 2015 F-150 4x4 auto trans as is. I just follow the procedure in the owners manual to disconnect the drive train.

I use a Falcon All Terrain tow bar and installed the vehicle brackets and wiring kit myself. I did not have to remove the bumper but by not doing so I had to cut down some drill bits to make them short enough to get my drill into a tight space. The wiring kit for the lights was pretty easy and straight forward. CampingWorld wanted around $750 to install the brackets and wiring kit.

If you use the Remco site, they say it needs a drive shaft disconnect to tow it 4 down. That adds quite a bit to the set up! ...And that's for a 16 year old vehicle.

I have an F150, that I wanted to tow. I didn't like the business of crawling under the truck and disconnecting the driveshaft, at the universal, each time I wanted to go or when I stopped, at the camp. So, I called Remco. They told me it would cost about $5,000 to install a baseplate and put a "driveshaft disconnect" onto my truck. I opted to trade my Toyota for a towable Saturn Vue. It still cost about $2,200 for the complete hook-up, but I have been very satisfied with it.
