Yes, every CR-V except the new 2015 model which has the CVT transmission and cannot be flat towed.

We found a new 2014 a few months ago because it's the last year able to flat tow.

Haven't bought a coach yet, but need a car and wanted it to fit our retirement lifestyle.

I wanted to go to a CR-V as the '05 Ody will need replacing someday. But Honda fixed that so I guess I'll keep the Ody as it's already set up to tow four down and only has 101,000 miles on it.

We also bought a 2014 CRV in December because CRV for 2015 can't be towed 4 wheels down. 2016 may be a better story though...I believe they're coming out with a manual transmission option.

Love might be a little strong for me but I do like it. Especially since I replaced the lawn tractor battery with a real one. That was my only beef with this car.

Joe, have you ever had a Grindy noise when you first start in the AM? Mine does this every once in a while. It only lasts for a second or two. I have had it in to Honda twice, left it overnight and of course it does not show for them. But at least it is documented should it cause a problem down the road. From looking at the CRV forums, I am not the only one to hear this. Just curious.

Goes to show that everything with the same name may not be the same.

2015 CRV = CVT = No flat tow

Ford/Lincoln hybrid = CVT = Okay to flat tow.

Never noticed a noise like that Dennis! I'll listen for it though!

Went from CRV to 2015 Chevy Equinox very happy a little heavier but no noticeable difference when towing usual set up and just pull one 5amp fuse and good to go.
