1) No
2) See #1
3) Your Roadmaster will work well.
4) My JKUR pushes my MH around in the corners a bit and I am 30% heavier than you. I use the Roadmaster EvenBrake.

I started towing a 2014 Wrangler behind our MH a month ago. Blue ox and air force one. I too had the question of key in the ignition on turned to acc but saw no need since the steering does not lock. My question is when I stop and put trans in Park when I try to shift transfer case into 2WD why does it grind. Am I doing something wrong. Also when I stop towing and disconnect Jeep I smell a slight burning smell like rubber.?????

No - make sure you follow the instructions. Sounds like you have the engine running when it should be off. My 2014 manual has wrong instructions but on this forum somewhere is a link to the correct instructions from Jeep.

Do not put the transmission in or out of park while the engine is running and the transfer case in neutral. I turn the ignition to on, (not running) move the transmission to neutral and then the transfer case to 2H. If it doesn't move smoothly to 2H, I start the engine several times until it moves smoothly.

I tow a 2014 and found the manual was conflicting/confusing. The disconnect the battery part was not in the printed owners guide that I requested, but the instruction was on the CD owners guide.

For shifting the transfer case and auto transmission the instructions are confusing. The manual says that after towing you should turn the ignition switch to on but not start the engine and three steps later they say to shift the transfer case to the desired position. This instruction has a Note attached to it saying, "When shifting the transfer case out of NEUTRAL (N), turning the engine OFF may be required to avoid gear clash." If one was to follow their instructions your engine would still be off. I found it was easier to take the transfer case out of neutral if the engine is running.
I ended up doing a word list that I printed out on a 4" by 5" and had laminated. One side for setting it up and the other for after towing.
TO TOW
1. Bring JK to stop.
2. Press and Hold Brake
3. Shift Auto Transmission to NEUTRAL
4. TURN OFF ENGINE
5. Shift Transfer Case to NEUTRAL
6. Start Engine
7. Ensure “4WD Indicator Light” NOT lit.
8. Shift Auto Transmission to REVERSE
9. Release Brake (see if JK Moves)
10. Press and Hold Brake
11. Shift Auto Transmission to DRIVE
12. Release Brake (See if JK Moves)
13. TURN OFF ENGINE
14. Apply Parking Brake
15. Shift Auto Transmission to PARK
16. Hook up JK to MH
17. Release Parking Brake

AFTER TOWING
1. Apply Parking Brake
2. DO NOT START ENGINE
3. Turn Ignition Switch to ON/RUN
4. DO NOT START ENGINE
5. Press and Hold Brake
6. Shift Auto Transmission to NEUTRAL
7. Start Engine
8. Shift Transfer Case to 2H
9. Shift Auto Transmission to PARK
10. Release Brake
11. Stop Engine
12. Disconnect JK from MH

Hope this helps.

X2 Peterrr's instructions you should work for Jeep who cannot seem to get their manual straight even now.
This is exactly how I hook up and disconnect.
Love the laminated card idea, doing that tomorrow

Wow. All I do is start it, shift into Neutral, then shift the transfer case back into 2wd. Sometimes if it doesn't want to go into 2wd, I shift the auto trans back and forth between drive and reverse. Seems to be working for me.

Finally on our past two hook ups and 200-300 mile runs the jeep did not have a burning rubber odor when we unhooked. Hopefully all is well.
