We just purchased a 2008 Mountain Aire and we are planning on starting a 14 month trip across the country this spring. There will be 5 of us, 2 adults and 3 kids. We are thinking we would probably buy a trailer or a stacker to hold the vehicle, bikes, and all the other "stuff". The trailer would be a 20' box and the overall length would be a little less than 70'. I got on line and found the "rules" for the various states are all over the place regarding lengths. Does anyone have any thoughts if this has been a significant issue; you rarely see MH's pulled over by the police. I would really appreciate any ideas.
Thanks,

The only state I've heard of any problems is California. The CHP seem to be proactive in enforcing the law. I am 65' total length and have not had a problem.
If you are looking for a stacker, PM rebelsbeach. I think he has one for sale.
