According to the manual, one fuse need to be removed Ignition Senser(2amp). Upon doing this, I was still able to start the car. I thought thatn upon removing this fuse the ignition would be disabled.
I would like to discuss this with another Malibu Maxx owner that tows 4-down.
Thanks

Tony, welcome to iRV2.com. We are glad to have youjoin us here and we look forward to reading of your adventures and experiences. Have you called GM to ask them about this question? I am sure you will enjoy this website and think we should have another Maibu Maxx owner as a member. Good luck and post often.
