You say you have a 5K tow rating, but we don't know what type of MH you have. Your tow rating is the lesser of: your hitch capacity or your GCWR-actual MH weight. For example, if your MH weighs 22K lbs and your GCWR is 26K lbs, then you can tow up to 4K lbs.

Well, physically, if she can reach the pedals and steering wheel, there's no reason a woman can't drive as well as a man. She just has to learn how not to run over stuff like gas pumps

Hi,

It's a 2005 Damon Daybreak 3270f with a 21k/26k Gcwr. Gvwr is 18k/20.5k. The coach weighed 17k when I last weighed it.

My thoughts exactly. She is just happier for me to drive it. I told her she needs to learn in case of an emergency.

Another option is to purchase a cheap toad for a couple of grand and flat tow or dolly it. Insurance would be about 600$ a year, but more realistically 400$ as can put it on storage insurance for the winter and 100$ for a plate.

My 4 runner has a curb weight of 4675lbs, I am sure that includes a tank of fuel.

An Acme electric brake tow dolly is 350lbs, not sure if that includes the ramps weight.

How much would a set of lights cost and weigh?

Would being 50lbs over my 5000lbs be a no no?

Which chassis do you have? The 18/21K or the 20.5/26K. You can't have both. If you have the 18K chassis with 17K on board, then your max allowable tow capacity is 4K. You should have a yellow weight sticker, probably in/near the driver's compartment, that shows your weight capacity.

I think you will find most dolly manufacturers recommend against towing the car backwards.

It's states a 21k/26k Gcwr and 18/20.5k Gvwr.

I thought reversing on to the dolly would be a pain.

I will check the sticker.
