Just remember that most of the towing sites are trying to scare you into buying their equipment and say a motorized vehicle is considered a trailer. In some states that is true, in some it's not and the braking requirements are different.
BUT, Ford and Workhorse require supplemental braking if you tow anything weighing 1500#'s or more.
FL and Spartan require supplemental braking if the towed +MH weigh more than the GVWR, NOT the GCVWR.
BUT, if you travel in ANY state that requires supplemental braking you MUST HAVE IT, there is NO reciprocity on equipment like there is on drivers licenses.
