Towing Terrain/Equinox with DEMCO Baseplate

Just wanted to alert those who might be towing a 2010-1012 Terrain or Equinox using a DEMCO baseplate. We were browsing DEMCO site today and saw a service bulletin where they are sending out mod kit because some of these cars frame isn't strong enough. I called Kevin Rosenboom at DEMCO (1-800-543-3626) and he is sending out kit and they will also reimburse up to 3 hrs of shop time for installation. The website had this listed under service bulletin # 5970 but he also told me they are updating the site today and this afternoon when I went to look at it so I could include a link, it was blank. Hopefully they will get it fixed soon. If you are towing these cars, I'd recommend you call Kevin and get a fix. Hope this helps someone. FYI, when I talked with him, he wanted the TOAD's VIN just so you know.

Couldn't find that bulletin on the Demco site, but there is one for a 2008-2010 Saturn Vue that sounds pretty much the same.

Gary,
Thanks for the heads up about the Vue, I was not aware. I will be contacting Demco.
