Towing toad with protector screen?
I'm in the process of getting my f250 ready to tow behind my Discovery. I will be using a BlueOx tow bar.
What are your thoughts, + or - on using the vehicle protector made by KarGard?

We used on similar for a car, but the screening attached to the rear bumper of the coach and front bumper of the car. There was no spaces for rocks to go in between. I dont like the look of the spaces between the bumpers and the screen.

It is called Protect-A-Tpw and will work with Blue Ox. There are 2 sizes so you will need to ait until you are all hooked up and measure...........

Ok. Don't think that one will work since my exhaust exits the rear of the coach.

We had that problem with our generator exhaust. Went to an exhaust shop and they added an extension for the exhaust to the side of the rig. ..............

A metal shield with about a 1" air gap around the exhaust pipe will also work. I just left ours a bit loose so it sags around the genny pipe. Just anything to keep it from contacting the pipe. Any shop should be able to fix you up. We also use the protect-a-tow and love it.

I have a full width name flap toward the rear of my D pusher. I wonder if that flap is sufficient to protect my towed.

I think the Protect-A-Tow gives you MUCH better protection!
Look at post #10 in the thread below.

Ditch the rear flap, install a good set of flaps behind the rear duals and forget about the protection devices.
20K miles after removing my rear flap and zero stone chips on the CRV.

+1. I removed ours and cut it up into mud flaps. We also use protect-a-tow.

?
I have a large flap that goes from one side to the other side. It was put on about 15 years ago maybe longer I have a 1997 36' Dolphin we live in Calif. and been back East two or three times and we belong to an R.V. group which go somewhere every other month.
I toe a 1995 Saturn sedan and their no nicks in the front paint.
Thanks to the large flap that runs across the back.
Just a thought.

When I purchased my 2017 Jeep I purchased a plan for 240.00 that will repair paint chips, scratches, head and taillights for a period of 5 years.
