Towing two 50cc scooters
Looking to tow two 50 cc scooters wondering if anyone has any ideas of a carrier that would accommodate? Have a class IV hitch scooters weight 180 pounds each, looking for a dual rack to carry the scooters have a 36 ft. Alfa See Ya DP

We have a pair of 150cc scooters and we're getting a 5x8 trailer with the steel mesh floor and a ramp. Usually $500-$650 at Lowes, Home Depot, etc... The trailer doesn't weigh too much and you can just ride the scooter up on it. Camping world or your local scooter/motorcycle dealer probably has the bolt down tire hoops that you can mount up front on the mesh floor to hold the front tire secure. Then just tie them down. I you just get a "motorcycle" trailer with a channel that the scooter would sit on, you're probably going to add some sort of floor next to it anyway otherwise you'd never be able to ride them up on and keep your balance once you stop.

If you want o haul that much on a receiver hitch, I'd recommend a dual receiver set up and not one receiver.

One thing about DP's they have higher hitch ratings than a Gas Chassis.

It has two 2" receivers about 3' or 4' apart. It keeps the load from rocking about the one receiver in the center.

Im in the same boat finding a way for 2 scooters, I was going to build a rack for the back of my bus, useing the 2 inch reciver with a 1inch reciver on both sides making for 3 points of contact. But after thinking more about it I think that I will go with a trailer,just might be less of a pain ti load and unload now Im trying to figure out a enclosed, or open trailer. I just posted asking for opinions of a enclosed trailer.

I've look at the Versahaul that supports two motorcycles or scooters has anyone used it as well ?

I've seen quite a few over here with the same set up, 2 scooters (or full size motorcycles) on a light trailer. Quite a few of them have a stone guard fitted to the front of the trailer to protect the bikes from flying stones & road debris.
An enclosed trailer would be the way to go if you dont mind the added weight.
