The manual says 3500/250 lb limit

If i use a trailer toad, would I be able to tow more?

Trailer lb is 8600 lbs, not sure of the tongue weight

Benningtonr,

The short answer is no.
Nothing you can do, short of buying a diesel RV will carry your load.

Am I missing something? Your manual says max tow weight is 3500...and your trailer weighs 8600...and you want to know how you can tow over double what your MH is rated to tow???

Hi Benningtonr and

Glad you came and asked. You asked a valid question. Is there a way to tow beyond the given ratings?

As already stated, no.

Not sure what you mean by a "trailer toad", but if it is something to take the downward weight off the hitch (the 250 lbs rating) you still need to deal with the 3500 lbs max pull weight. Just no way around that one. While the 3500 lbs is most likely the hitch rating, putting on a heavier hitch doesn't make your chassis any stronger. With your coach, you probably have no more than 4000 lbs you can pull, and that would be with a totally empty coach.

Solutions:
  1. Buy a big diesel pusher motorhome with sufficient capacity.
  2. Use a 3/4 ton pickup to pull the trailer and have someone else drive the motorhome.
Good Luck and Happy RVing!
