avid_dk,
sorry for the miss information, you are right, the 2016 offers a five-speed manual transmission or the optional twinamic six-speed dual clutch transmission so all your transitions can go smoothl
I guess that my dealer did not know what he was talking about.

When we had a 35A Winnebago Adventurer, we used a 7712H Aluma aluminum tilt bed trailer (no ramps and/or tailgate req'd). Worked great. I put a hitch on the Smart (not shown on these pictures) and we would use to get firewood and very light hauling.

The trailer weighed around 650 lbs and the Smart around 1850 lbs. Well with in the towing limits of this gasser. Really could not tell you were the car.

Our trailer is an Aluma as well, been a great trailer so far. It is super light, and can attest, that one person can push it around very easily when empty. Have had to move it around several times by myself.

We also tow a Smart on a trailer. The trailer is similar to the Aluma trailer but was custom made. Works well for us.
