I was told by an installer of tow systems that It would cost too much to transfer a unified brake system from my Ford Edge (which is for sale) to My new Caddilac SRX. Both are towable w/ with 4 on the ground. He also suggested another similar type system but I don't remember the name of it. Anyone have experience with this kind of transfer? I can't do it myself so I really need someone who knows what their doing to do the switch. Please comment if you have had experience with this.

Thanks,
Bob

Bob, He may have recommended the SMI Air Force One! All the braking equipment is installed under the hood and you never have to touch it again.

That said, I know that folks have transfered their USG equipment from one vehicle to another so "Yes" it is dooable.

I was told the same thing by the installer that the brake system would be transferrable. I hope so He did not say the cost of a new brake system and install would be near the same as removal and reinstall of an existing system.
