TST tire sensor warning

A fellow in our RV Park took his Jeep Wrangler though the automatic car was and still had TST sensors on his Jeep. The sensors stuck out pass the outer edge of the tire. The rail that guides the vehicle though the car wash damage the sensors and damage the value stem when the sensors got caught between the tire and the rail. He ended up with two tires with damage valves and two flat tires. I normally remove the sensors when I reach my destination but over night stops I normally leave them attached.

I have destroyed a couple of the TST flowthrough sensors over years. You have to remove them if you are going to use a car wash.

I have the 510 system on my mh and my 2000 Blazer and take the Blazer thru car washes all the time with never a problem. And rubber valve stems -- I know -- I should be dead!

Unfortunately that is one of the problems with external sensors.
