U S Gear Unified Tow Brake

Last time out camping when I hooked up to come back home I could not get a green light on the control in the motor home. After getting back home I ran through the trouble shooting guide from US Gear and did all the voltage checks and ground checks. It appears I have a faulty control module , the one at the motor home that sets on the dash with the green & red lights. The price I find for this part is over $300. I would be willing to buy a used one & wondering if anyone would happen to have one they are no longer using. Or is some know where I can buy a new one at less money.
Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

my initial uneducated reaction is that price is insane. I would try to find an electronic repair person to fix it. Is it possible to send it to the manufacturer for repair?
