Many of us use the U.S. Gear Unified Tow Brake. You'll see lots of threads here on it even though this particular forum is sponsored by SMI.

I'm sure quite a few here can answer your specific questions about the Unified Tow Brake if you can tell everybody what you need to know about it.

Also, do a search and as I say, you will see a lot of threads here that can answer your questions too.

Yes, used one when I had a towed, Personal opinion it is the best of the systems out there, It is the ONLY one that gives the motor home driver the same level of control over the brakes (In fact more control) on the "Trailer" (Towed) that a Semi Driver has over his trailer brakes.

You can, without getting out of the motor home driver's seat, Set the brakes on the towed, or disable them, you can adjust the "Gain" (The degree to which they engage as opposed to the motor home) and monitor them.

No other system gives you that kind of control from the motor home driver's seat (At least that I know of).

Plus, it includes a "Towed Charge" lead and keeps the towed charged.

Just make sure you do not short the blue and red wires together, that will take out the controller in the motor home.

I have used my unit in 2 different toads - present is a 2012 Honda CRV - and love it.
Installed it myself. Not hard to do.
