Aside from the question of "will I ever get this thing re-connected" is there any issue of disconnecting from the dolly with the car still on it? Wondering about disconnecting to get in a tight gas station.

Peddler, That's a BIG NO NO. Should you do that, the tounge of the dollie will fly upward and possible damage the back of your towing vehicle. Or it could go just the oposite direction and possible break a foot or leg. Do as I have had to do a couple of times. Take the car off the dollie, and then disconect the dollie. The people around the fueling station aren't going to be happy. But I bet you won't make that mistake again. We've all been in tight spaces at one time or another. So don't feel bad.

Thanks for the quick advise. I was looking at a dolly with a tongue jack and wheel and thought all dollies would have at least some tongue weight when loaded. Probably not worth taking the chance.

If the dinghy is loaded on the dolly properly, there will be weight on the tongue. How much, I do not know.

I can not see why you could not leave the car on it and use a tongue jack to lift up the tongue and unhook. Now wit hit unhooked, you will not want to try and get the car off the dolly. You will have to be hooked up to the MoHo.

OOOOWWWWWWEEEEEEE!!!!!!! Extremely dangerous. I have a MasterTow Dolly 80THD and I have had an occasion where the car had to be removed in order to navigate a tight situation. Man, never unhook the dolly when it is loaded.
