Vehicle Towing

I just installed a new Blue Ox hitch to tow my 2013 F150 with my 2006 Journey and I would like to know the best product to purchase to protect my tow vehicle.

I's suggest auxiliary braking system if you haven't already. There are a number of screens or rock shields you can invest in to protect the paint on the toad. If you buy a flap for the back of the RV, be sure it's not hanging low enough to flip rocks up into the toad.

I may not have worded my request in my forum question properly. What I am seeking is protection from road debris. My Winnebago Journey has a full rubber tire flap the width of RV, would that be adequate to protect the tow vehicle from road debris? Like many Michigan residence, we are leaving for Florida soon and want some assurances my truck will not require body work. Any recommendations as to the best form of protection would be appreciated from my fellow RV's.

The rock guard you describe can help, but still debris will fly up. When the rock guard is low enough to hit the road, it can actually help fling stuff up onto the toad. I don't use a shield, but if I did, it would probably be the screen type that spans from bumper of the RV to the bumper of the toad, but it is extra steps to set up and disconnect.
