Volkswagen Routan Mini Van Towability Question

I do not know if I am in the right area or not, but here goes anyway: Can I two wheel tow the above mentioned vehicle. I have a Newmar Mountain Aire MH and want to tow on a dolly behind it.

Thanks in Advance,

Al

Hi,

You should be able to tow that vehicle providing:
1 it is not awd or 4 wheel drive.
2 the weight of the vehicle and that of the dolly does not exceed the hitch rating and the gvcw recommended for your coach. For example: my rv is rated at 22000 lbs with a gvcw of 27500 lbs. My toad is 3000 lbs and 800 for the dolly giving me a total of 25800 lbs.

I hope this helps you and if you have any other questions you can pm me.

Your question was made into it's own thread so more people other than those interested in Ford towing would see it and maybe offer you some additional help.
