wanting to tow a 1997 ford expedition

I have a 2002 40' holiday rambler with a 330 cummins and wanting to tow a 1997 4x4 ford expedition. can anyone tell me concerns in doing so and what recommended tow bar is best for this rig and vehicle? thank you in advance.

I would be concerned about the hitch rating on your coach. It is probably 5,000 and the expedition weighs more than that.

Do you know the rated towing capacity? Do you have Freightliner or Spartan chassis. Generally DP's have a towing capacity of 10,000# and a similar rated hitch.

Most of the older dps were rated at 5000 only the newer ones were rated at 10000. You should check your specific unit.

Not sure about your Expedition but I have a '97 Explorer (2wd 2 door) that has rear wheel drive and would have to be towed backwards on a dolly or all 4 on a trailer.
