What 10,000 lb tow bar do you use?
Getting a new Diesel Pusher & will be towing a mid size SUV - (a new 2017 Buick Envision or Jeep Grand Cherokee or a possibly the new 2017 GMC Acadia) & will be getting it set up with an Air Force One braking system.
I am looking for ease of use (such as the Blue Ox Aventa) & I want a very safe dependable tow bar system. I have read failure issues with Blue Ox but not sure it was the Aventa.
What tow bar do you use & why?

I use the Blue Ox Avail, previously the Aventa, towing a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I have over 6,000 miles on it and the additional length allows me much tighter turning radius. No problems with it and I find it easier to disconnect than the Aventa when on uneven ground or not straight behind the coach.

I have the Avail and tow an f-150. This is my first experience with a tow bar but it seems to be reliable and easy enough to use. I also love my Air Force One setup.

Why a tow bar rated at 10,000 lb.?... (none of those vehicles weigh over 5000 lbs.).

I'm starting my seventh season with the Blue Ox Aventa , no visible wear on the bar, pins, or base plate. 
Although my toad is only 3700 lbs. I'd much rather use a item, like the tow bar at less that 50% of it's rated capacity, than anywhere close to 100%; AND ; I know the coach will outlast the current toad as will the bar , and having the extra capacity, gives a lot more choices when looking for a replacement toad.

I use the Blue Ox 10K Aventa tow bar. It's the best tow bar on the market

We use the Blue OX Aventa to pull our Acura MDX, about 4500 lbs. Dependable and easy to connect and disconnect. Highly recommend it.

We use the Roadmaster BlackHawk 10,000lb tow bar with the Air Force One. I like the idea of the added bar across the front. Some like the clean look in the front but I like the add bumper protection of the air line and electrical hookup plus I have a place for my rock guard.

I have had two BO tow bars, both came to me used. They have worked well and been reliable. I have them checked and refurbished every few years by BO at rallies.

Are any of you also using anything to protect your toads from stone chips?
We are getting a Dutch Star 4369 if that matters.

Yes, remove the rear full width flap and install a set of flaps behind the rear duals set so they just clear when the air suspension is down.
That in itself will do more to prevent rock chips than anything else.

In answer to the op I use the blue ox 10k tow bar.
To answer your question we are towing a CRV and I purchased their front bottom cover and also the hood bra. If I feel it is advisable I also cover the large headlite area with the clear plastic carpet covering that you can find in Lowes and other carpet sales stores. It has a semi sticky side that I just stick to the headlights. Easily cut with shears. When done just peal off and dispose. After we towed our 2010 CRV for a number of years I noted a lot of fine pitting on the windshield so am also going to cover it with the clear plastic for long drives. (Our new to us 2014 replacement that is) Hope this helps
