Well today I tackled the CR-V towing issue! We used to use the Jeep Wrangler whenever we needed to take a vehicle with us, but I traded it for the 01 Ranger, and with our vacation coming in 2 weeks, we needed a toad. So today I installed the roadmaster 1555-5 base-plate. Next we need a brake system, we never used one with the Jeep. But there were a few times when I could have used one. I think that I've settled on the Ready Brake system, will order it tomorrow.

Glad to hear you are going to a secondary braking system. They do work some times,but, the main thing here is using the system YOU are most comfortable with. I'm sure there will be others try to get you to check out other systems but then to you aren't pulling a Hummer.

We have a Ready Brake and love it. I will consider a Ready-Brute if I need to replace my towbar. HarveyP
