I'm in the same quandary, I have looked up install videos on YouTube for all the major installed versions. Those video's might help make your decision. The install on some of the systems is pretty in depth.

Some of it depends on your Motorhome. Diesel with air or gasser? Size of rig, and waht you plan to tow?

I have a diesel with air. I am pulling a little Honda CR-V. Since I have air I went with SMI Air Force One braking system. Plus it is a one time install. Have to check it now and then like with anything else, but I like how easy it is to operate, hook up, and install was pretty easy even for a novice like me.

Happy hunting
Jim

I have heard really good things about every the "Readybreak" system. Don't know if you have your baseplate installed and or the tow bars yet either. What year is the CR-V?

I put on the blue ox baseplate on my 2012 cr-V - took a few hours but was fun to do for me. I did the baseplate, Air Force one, and Hopkins tail light kit myself in about a 12 hour period over 2 days. Went slow and followed videos exactly. No problem!

I have had great luck with the RVI2 system (now RVI3) for the past couple of years and about 15,000 miles of towing. It is quick and easy to set up each time, taking about two minutes max. There is no installation other than a breakaway switch line that has to go from the front bumper to the system in the floor. The line just plugs in when you are setting up.

RV writer, I have a 3012 crv and blue Ox tie bar and base plate
Lt Dan, the RVi3 is intriguing I will look at it. I think a portable makes more sense

You want the Stay-In-Play Duo.
Hands down the best system on the market for your setup

Look at M&G, no electronics no items in the interior of the car.

I am a firm believer of the Keep it simple. depending on the year of your CRV they make a kit.

I agree, also a consideration I have had unit through 2 Rv's and 2 tow vehicles.
30 seconds to hook up or take out. Very light.

M&G is probably one of the best and simple systems and a easy install ( I have it on the F150)on most toads that they make one for but I think it is a little more complex installation on the CRV, I use a Roadmaster Brakemaster on the Kia with breakaway system on both. I have also heard good reports on the RVi2 system.

Hands down I don't know about, I use a foot for the stop. Ready brake can be added to about any tow bar system. A couple cables need to be installed, even an old guy did it in a couple hours. Hint here read corrections and watch vids with any system. Uses no power, but you still need the brake signal lights with any system. After install you hookup one cable. Has to be one of the more frugal approaches. For those with no tow system the Ready Brute 7500# takes care of most towed's.
