We are towing a 2009 Honda Fit Sport automatic with our 2004 Newmar Dutch Star. Its weight is 2553 Lbs, drives great. The best thing of all is visability out of the little car, really nice when your in a strange place. Not to mention gas milage of 33 in town/40 on the road. The Blue Oax tow system was installed in about 5 hours by a local RV dealer.

Our jeep is getting ready to retire and we need a replacement. I'd love a list of those that can be towed all four down without any problems. Can you help?
Thanks
Pam

Pam,

Go to http://www.motorhomemagazine.com/din...ide_2000tc.cfm there will be a list on the right hand side for all the different years of vehicles that are towable four wheels down.

Hope this helps and good luck .

Just tried the sight and it didn't work.

Try and google motorhome magazine and ther you should find a link to towables

We do need the 4x4 to get up to our Mountain Cabin.

What do you tow?
Gator Dog,
We tow a Toyota Rav 4. It took a bunch of money to make it work (remco trans pump) but it tows really well and Carol like to drive it. It is her car

Lexus LX-470

When I said that we tow a Lexus LX-470 my point was and is that the MFG was adament that you should not tow a Lexus. I decided to try and guess what? No problem. I met a couple while in Seattle last summer who were towing a 1989 Buick Station wagon, a big one. it was equipped with an automatic transmission. I was surprised enough to ask them if they had any problems with the transmission. (Buick definetly does not allow towing.) They said they decided to tow it cause it was a cheap purchase and who cares if it fails..
Guess what? absolutly no problems........... I wonder how many other vehicles with automatic trans could be sucessfully towed>>>>>>>>>>>>
