I use a car trailer, so I can tow anything, works great, the wheel of my car don't wear down, nothing else need but straps to hold it down.

Need to have a DP to haul most trailers/cars.
Us gassers are limited to 5000# towing.

Almost ALL cars these days weigh less than 5000#, not a problem at all for modern gassers.

Chain and D-Rings are cheap at Wal*Mart or home improvement stores.

Safe travels to all
My knees just mentioned to me that they are very impressed with the wisdom and practicality of your post!

They are very disappointed that the mechanical/industrial engineer that they normally support didn't even remotely consider that simple pain reliving solution.

I have a F150 raptor that is to heavy to tow, and a ford Explorer AWD which you can't tow. So I think I am close to purchasing a 20' aluminum trailer (1450 lbs). I can put the explorer on it an be just over the 5000 pound rating, or my Goldwing and a UTV and the kayak and be under. I can also fit a MC or UTV and a small car (fiat is like 1800 pounds) on it. Seems that this offers the most flexibility.
The hangup in all of this is that none of the sate or US parks in the area allow use of ATV or UTV in the park.
Another thing to consider. While the trailer may be a solution for your auto problem, I doubt you'll be happy towing your Goldwing with an open trailer. That's a nasty environment behind your motorhome and you are guaranteed to arrive at your destination with a nasty looking motorcycle. You'll spend more time keeping it clean that riding it at your destination. I think the best way to tow a motorcycle is with a toy hauler or in an enclosed trailer.

Kia Soul, 5 speedy manual on a Demco Kar-Kaddy3. The whole thing weighs 3500 pounds. Works great. Keeps the drive train off the road
