2004 Chevy crew cab Z71, tows great. A little on the heavy side, but extra room is great.

We picked the PT Cruiser. It is the wife's car. The deal came with a "We Owe" and that was an installed Remco pump. It tows real nice. We have the US Gear brake system.
I think you will find the variety of likes and dislikes the same as pizza.

Chevy Silverado 1500 FWD and Honda CR-V AWD. The Chevy is a little heavy and hard to park when you get there, so unless we're bringing a motorcycle in the back of it, we take the CR-V. It's AWD works great and it has good ground clearance.

Honda's CR-V is good. Lighter, roomier, and better mpg than Jeep's Liberty. AWD will get you through most highway gunk, but if you want to do serious off-roading you'll want the Jeep.

@006 HHR by G.M. 4down just hook and go 1 fuse to remove I added a fused off on switch and a brake buddy and doids to the lights for ease of hook up oh its a automatic shift also...Bushman

Since 2001 have towed a 2000 Jeep GC and now a 2005 Jeep GC.
Waiting for 2010 to get my new one

2007 Ford Escape FWD manual tranny using US Gear Unified Brake controller. No frills, easy on gas (once we're there) Wife loves it as a Grocery getter too.
It tows good too

We love our Chevy HHR with automatic. Just put it in neutral and pull one fuse, I installed a rocker switch instead. Lots of room, around 3k pounds and 30+ MPG. I wouldn't know it was there without the backup camera.

We tow our 07 Ford Ranger extended cab 4X4. No modifications other then the Neutral Tow Kit light and computer reprogram.
Tows very nicely!

I am on my second Jeep Liberty, throw the transfer case into netural, shift into park and off I go.

2007 CRV . Have also towed 2001 Jeep wrangler, 2004 Toyota Corrola (manual) and 2001 CRV. All were great toads.
