For a wheels down automatic transmission you'll find the Saturn Vue hard to beat. The two wheel drive 4-cyl is light at just over 3000 lb. tows like it is not there, gets over 30 mpg and is a basic hook up and go. We love ours.

We have a 2006 Saturn Vue, V6 and really like it. It is an automatic and weighs a little over 3500 lbs. We have a Blue Ox base plate and tow bar.

If you are looking for something a little bigger, consider the GMC ENVOY 4X4. Heavy duty everything, comfort, good view as one sits a bit higher and lots of room for people, pets or cargo. Per my signature, we have towed about 20K with ours and everything has performed outstanding.

TNBULLDOG, WELCOME to iRV2!!

I am towing a General Motors Hummer H3 that weighs 4700 pounds....I mention the GM aspect since all I do is hold the 4wheel hi and the 4wheel low buttons together for 10 seconds and then it's in neutral...I'd imagine Gary's Envoy is similar.

We had towed a Chevy Silverado 4x4 for several years and then bought an 06 vue we can also tow. We really like the vue.

2007 GMC Acadia crossover SUV, towable without mods in either front drive or AWD configurations. The Saturn Outlook is very similar and lower priced.

Jeep Rubicon, Tows great, easy to maintain. Plus it goes where you want it to go. You see so much more in a 4x4.
