What is good price

For a used Ready Brute Tow bar. It has everything but the cable that goes to the brake peddle

I usually value most things used at 40-60% of what a new same item can be purchased. Condition, completeness, how badly I want/need it, etc. bear on where in that range a item falls.

It is the ReadyBrute Elite with the breakaway kit, cables, storage bag and and a pair of clevis connectors. I'm not sure which ones though. He is asking $500 for all of it. Not sure how old but it looks almost new. He said to bring my offer tomorrow when I go to see it.

I paid $600 for the same thing used 2 times, looks brand new. Got it for my daughter in Alaska to install when they get to Oregon on there new 2016 Ford Edge. Got all the paper work on it only 6mo old, his wife did not like the Jeep plus they sold the MH.

His price seems very good, will depend on condition. You can get the cable and sheith from Ready Brake. Just remember you can always go up in price but you can't come down.

Not a bad deal at all. The ReadyBrute is built well and will last for years.

I got a chance to get this front bumper for free. Can I use it with this tow bar in place of a base plate??

Yes but you need to get: http://www.smittybilt.com/docs/installation/76807.pdf and adapt them to your tow bar. I have the same bumper.
