Very cool, and how does the coach handle through the corkscrew?

Nice dinghy! I tow an MX-5, which I wouldn't say is a really fast car, however it is probably as fast or faster than an Abarth.

I don't see how you could tow an exotic, Veyron, Lamborgini, etc...

Some numbers

A look at the 2013 Dinghy Guide (and the models mentioned so far.)

Make /Model 0-60 1/4 mile

Nissan 370Z 4.9 13.3

Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 5.1 13.4

Subaru Impreza WRX 5.4 14.3

Dodge Challenger RT 5.5 14.1

Infinity G37S 6MT 5.6 14.1

Ford Focus ST 5.9 14.5

Fiat Abarth 6.7 15.0 -Only the regular 500 listed as towable, PyrateSilly tows one

Mazda MX-5 6.7 15 - Not listed as towable, Mr. M tows one

Cadillac SRX 7.3 16.1

Hyndai Veloster Turbo 7.8 16.0 - Only looks fast.

There is no evidence I can find of a tow bracket available for any Porsce, or Lamborghini. Veyron? Pagosajoe may be quite insane.

James

You're right James...but PLEEZE - It's Porsche (POR-shuh). You may have to make your own tow bracket, but, since this is a hypothetical exercise, a little insanity is acceptable...and a 1000+ HP Veyron will do 254 mph, and 0-60 in 2.4 seconds.

The Dubai police have their very own Veyron:

The speed limit on sections of I-10 in Texas are 80mph. I know it doesn't hurt a 2009 Saturn Vue or a Cadillac SRX for several hours at the speed limit or higher.

Answer to OP... as fast as you dare drive your coach. Just post where and when you intend to test so we can inform the public to stay off the road.

Yes the OP did ask "what is the fastest...". All those wonderful 0-60 and 1/4 mile times/speeds reflect "quickest" (i.e. acceleration times/speeds) and not "fastest" (i.e. velocity) or top speed, as I had posted in my previous post! From my point of view I do like seeing the 0-60, et al comparisons, as I am a car nut!!

And Jackfish I flipped-flopped between the '13 WRX 5 door and the Focus ST for quite some time before getting the ST. I do like them both, but the ST won out for its more modern interior.

Just sayin'.

I believe, if you were to check it out, you would find the ThrustSSC is towable 4 down, since it lacks transmission or differential (it is a rocket/jet car).. Top speed achieved in it's record setting time trial was 1,227.985 km/h (763.035 mi/h), and at the moment, that is still the fastest car.. PERIOD. Towable or not.

NOTE: Mythbusters (Some time ago) did a show on beating a traffic speed camera.. They tried sprays, covers, and i can't tell you how many other things.. All of them "Got the ticket" (Save it was on a closed course so of course no tickets were issued)

Finally they tried a go-fast car, one that could make 150 MPH look slow.

IT beat the camera, by the time the shutter clicked.. The car was out of range.. No, it was not the car above.

You win! But, there may be complicating issues - the ThrustSSC has rear wheel steering...watch those corners!

Just tow it backwards - yes, the car, not the RV.

My neighbors Saturn was fairly fast, it went by his motorhome on the shoulder of I-75. Jumped the fence did a roll and ended up on it's roof in a swamp.

It depends on how "stretchable" your tow bar is, ours doesn't stretch at all so that forces to toad to follow at the same speed as the motorhome. Others may differ!
