What system do you use to tow your toad?

We're about to purchase our Toad, a Fiat 500L, Which we can tow flat if we're not towing the bikes. What system(s) do you use for connecting your coach and the car? Are you happy with it? What would you change? Thanks to all!

I have Blue Ox tow bar and Brake Buddy. Bought used via Craigslist, for a very good price. With a Ready Brake waiting for me to get around to install it in place of the Brake Buddy. If I had total do-over I would get the Ready Brute tow bar system with the Ready Brake built in.

I have used the old style Blue Ox 10k pound Aventa tow bar all over the country for the past twelve years. Since I have air brakes, I have used the Roadmaster Brakemaster during this time. I have never had any issues, whatsoever.

Interesting ronjhall the Ready Brute Elite is NON BINDING which is great. My Blue Ox has to be "straight" behind the MH in most cases to easily remove the pins from the toad. deSanford

Roadmaster Falcon 2 tow bar, Roadmaster Base Plate, Roadmaster air BrakeMaster.
On 6th year use now.

Trading toad this fall. Roadmaster doesn't make a base plate for it yet, Blue Ox does.
Will have to get a adapter for the Falcon 2 to fit on the Blue OX.

Have you checked to see who makes the base plates? I wonder if that Fiat is a pretty new entry to the U.S. Market, so availability may be an issue. The Blue Ox tow bars are good, but so is the Road Master.

Blue Ox (Craigslist), Blue Ox base plate, Ready Brake. If a "do over" were ever required, I wouldn't change a thing - unless I could find a used base plate too!
