What to tow?

Can I tow a 2011Honda CRV behind my 1996 gas Newmar Dutchstar?

Yes you can.
Check the owners manual it has all the information you will need.
We tow a Honda Fit with a 38 ft gas coach.
The CRV is heavier but if you don't have your coach to heavily loaded you will be fine.
We like our ReadyBrute tow bar and ReadyBrake system.

Thanks. It is the weight that concerns me. I see from other posts that there may be some problem with fuses and dying batteries.

As long as the hitch on the coach and the GCWR (combined weight rating) can each handle the weight of the CRV, sure. Depending on the CRV model and equipment, its curb weight is in the 3300-3550 lb range. Your Dutchstar probably has at least a 3500 lb tow rating and perhaps 5000 lbs. You need to research that before deciding on a toad.

A question in the Newmar owners forum might get you an answer if you don't have the specs yourself.
