What to tow?
Want recommendations for the best towable. What is lightest, easiest to connect, towable 4 wheels down? Currently tow a '98 Chev Tracker but time to buy new(er).

I just set up a 2016 Chevy Sonic, auto, hatchback. It weighs around 2,800 lbs. Chevy started selling them in 2012 and it's the 1st small Chevy to get positive reviews. It's also the only car in its size class that's made in the USA, if that matters.

My primary criteria would be (a) what max weight my coach is rated to tow and (b) what suited my transportation needs best. Going to the lightest possible vehicle makes little sense to me if that puts me in a vehicle that can't do what I need it to do, e.g. carry the family. If the lightest towable vehicle is a Smart For-Two car, is that what you buy?
I would come at it from the opposite direction: what is the most ideal transportation I can get that fits within my towable weight budget. Well, and my wallet budget too.

This is my new ride, a 2017 Chevrolet, Silverado 4 X 4.
I am getting ready to have a base plate for my Demco
Aluminator tow bar added to the truck, the brake plate
and electrical hookup. Hubby usually does told me to
have it done this time. He is retired and now has less
time to do things then when he was working!! LOL!
Well also just ordered the 4 piece bed cover, chrome or
Stainless fender edging, window edging, mirror covers,
door handles, and tail gate handle. Going to get rocker
panel covers soon as hubby gets the measurements.
