We have a 2008 Buick Enclave which is very much like an Acadia. What braking system do you use?

I like bigger vehicles when I go some where. I had an 04 Honda Odyssey w/ over 30K towing and just set up my 2012 Explorer to tow 4 down.

Tow Suv

I tow a 2008 Buick Enclave CLX front wheel drive, 4 wheels down Blue ox Tow Bar , Enclave can be tow all 4 wheels flat by running for 5 minutes place in neutral turn key back 1 click , remove battery 1 50 amp fuse from fuse box under hood. These instruction are in the Gm manual for the Enclave. I learned i did not remove the fuse it will kill your battery.
Hope this helps
Dale

Red face Cadillac XRS

We love our brand new 2012 Cadillac XRS. It wasn't the name, it was the comfort and size that sold us. We've only towed it once - but successfully! The installers of the towing/brake systems said they'd had a couple others, and one was driving an older model. All said they are great. We don't pull any fuses, but push a release button to let the car move into neutral while in park, with engine off. Pretty simple stuff. We have Roadmaster/Brakemaster products, which we were told are the best out there ....I'm sure others have their own preferences.

The older Honda's don't need anything to tow four down. So Remco doesn't make anything for them.

Now the only Honda's certified (meaning you don't lose the warranty) by Honda for towing four down after 2005 are the CR-V and Fit.

I would love to own a 2012 Cadillac XRS but then we would need to purchase a Diesel pusher to replace our Gas powered 2005 SunVoyager SE. So we purchased what our much enjoyed cheaper powered rig could easily pull; 2012 GMC Terrain V6 AWD and pull one fuse leaving the key in the ignition and the shifter in neutral. My GMC truck has the neutral putton feature but it is too heavy to pull. We also pull 4 wheels down with Visi brake, less hassel after inital cost to put it on.

Wrangler. 4 down. Xfer case in N, trans in P, lock and go. And then go off-road to see what regular tourists do not.
Just sayin....
