Roadmaster Falcon2 tow bar. Had the same one for 15 years, decided to go over to Roadmaster (Portland to Vancouver, about 15 miles) and have them look at it.
While walking out to car they said my bar hasn't been made since 2004 and most likely wouldn't have parts if it needs any. Took one look at it and said "that concerns me." Can't be fixed and don't recommend using it. Okay, what now.
Said they have refurbished one (he thinks) and will sell it to me for $299. New bar retails for approx $700. Said I'll take it, he was gone for a while and finally came back and said I found it (it being the only one they had). Great customer service.
Gee might have them look at this one a little more often...
I also use an invisa-brake system on Honda CRV. Happy with set-up (and new tow bar).

Sell off your marginally adequate Accclaim and get a real 10K rated Aventa. Problem solved. For a few extra bucks, why not go for the Gold, so to speak.

Ready Brute Elite, easy setup and no need to haul something in and out of the toad for braking. Couldn't be happier.
