I bought a "brake in a box" because I thought I would move it between vehicles. 7 years late I am still using the same tow car. When the unit failed I replaced it with the SMI Stay-in-Play and would never own another "brake in a box" system again.

Does this brake system move easily from one toad to another?

I did exactly this! In fact, I found one cheaper on Craigslist.

We've used the Blue Ox Patriot braking system since going to 4-down. Never a problem.

Roadmaster Invisibrake works well now that it is adjusted properly, and I have 8000 lbs pushing me.

Easily yes. If you know how. Otherwise a few hours labor.

I have the RV BRSKE SYSTEM. It's sits on the floor board. It senses you stopping and applies proportional braking with a brake away. Minutes to install and seems to work great. Although. The price is $1k

We use a US Gear system. I like it due to the fact that it always uses power braking since it has a vacuum pump that replenishes the vacuum and there is never anything to install each time you hook up.

I installed it myself in our 04 Wrangler, pulled it out when I traded to the 2013 and re-installed it. The coach was prewired so no problem on that end. I have to say that the install isn't the quickest thing I have ever done but the instructions are good and with some simple tools such as a drill, you can do it yourself.

I agree Dude. However, we are not as handy as you and had it installed for us. But I like the "plug and play" feature. The little lights on the dash let you know it's working and you can adjust the breaking if necessary.

I use the RVI system. It's small, easy to setup and very portable. The only thing that may be a problem is moving the breakaway switch if used.

The breakaway box is bolted to the front bumper, correct? I could imagine on some vehicles that may require bumper removal.
