Wild idea toad paint protection?

Just had toad windshield chip repaired. Subject got around to paint protection. He said race car drivers and others using Flex Seal in clear or even colors in spray can to protect paint. Such a wild but believable idea! Has anyone done it? Any problems with/after removal? Not sure I want to be first one to try it.

I have used flex seal and I think it would be very hard to remove. Are you sure the product is not another product. On the forums I see the young guys that want everything blacked out use a product that was made to dip tool handles etc. They use it on wheels and even paint and it peels off. It is called Plasti dip or something like it.

Did my Mirrors with this >>Coatings and Adhesives, Rubber and Plastic Coatings | Plasti Dip Interntional
Holds up really good- there are video's of hole cars being dipped.
Peels off if needed and the original paint looks like new !
