Will It EVER be Built?

Will it ever be built? I don't think so. This has all the appearances of yet another automotive scam.

I hope they make it but I won't be putting any money into the effort!

Who knows but it never pays to be first in line for a product that doesn't yet exist. It does make you wonder how Mr. Elio continues to eat. I'm sure that being CEO comes with a decent salary and money doesn't just grow on trees.

Neat concept, I've been following it for awhile. Price is great, but I don't know if it will ever happen.

Starting a car or plane company often goes awry for the founders. Sometimes they get swept up by a buyer who makes the company work, without much of the initial R & D costs.

This is/was the Aptera. It didn't make it, though there seems to be a buyer who might pick up the pieces.

Having owned a Heinkel 3-wheeler, many years ago, I would never consider another. The big issue is ride comfort, since you have 3 chances to hit every bump. The Heinkel had another disadvantage in that the only door was across the front. There was virtually no protection in a crash.
